Mark Fisher (of Matt Bianco) passes away.

December 12, 2016

We at melandkim.com were incredibly sad to hear the news that Mark Fisher (of 'Matt Bianco') passed away this morning.

As well as being a much loved and celebrated musician, Mark was also very supportive of our work, having previously worked and recorded with Mel.

Mark spoke with us recently and shared  " I had heard something that Mel had recorded with a friend of mine and I asked her if she'd record some songs with me. One of the songs we recorded together was titled 'Circles'.  Eventually I re-recorded 'Circles' with Sheila Ferguson from The Three Degrees, who was signed to Stock Aitken Waterman's label at the time, although Sheila left the label and the song was never released.  I have fond memories of Mel.  She was a lovely girl and talented singer."

Our thoughts are with Mark's family and friends at this time.

As exclusively revealed by melandkim.com via our Facebook page, Kim Appleby has released a teaser from her forthcoming new album to radio stations.  The new track, titled 'What's Not To Love', premiered today on the online radio station 'We Rave You' today!  Kim has spent the past year writing with producer Dominic King and they are currently busy mixing around sixteen new songs for a 2017 release.

Message From Hazell Dean!

August 22, 2013

We would like to thank the lovely Hazell dean for her message of support!  Hazell wrote:

"Good luck with www.melandkim.com guys!

I had heard a lot about Mel & Kim (before even hearing them) from Pete (Waterman) and Tilly (Rutherford) and I was invited to their first P.A. of "Showing Out", at Stringfellows, along with the rest of the PWL gang.  I loved it, and I loved their style - they were so different, both musically and with their cheeky, cocky London attitude!

Love Hazell"
